BIO

I am a postdoc in the Finance group at University of Bonn. In December 2018, I received my PhD from Goethe-University Frankfurt, and I was previously visiting scholar at Isenberg School of Management, UMASS Amherst, and St. John's University New York.

In my research I examine insurance companies and risk in the financial system. For example, I explore how to identify a build-up of systemic risk before it materalizes in crises. In another paper, we examine whether the post-2008 regulation of derivatives markets is successful in reducing risk.
